Confluence: Create Anchor Link

"Build, organize and collaborate from anywhere" is the motto of Confluence, a software developed as an enterprise wiki. The application is used to promote the documentation and sharing of knowledge. Learn how to create a link in Confluence via anchor here.

How to create an anchor in Confluence

Even in a long wiki entry, an anchor helps with page navigation.
  1. Move the cursor to the desired location, open Confluence's editor and select the "add more content" option.
  2. There, click on "other macros" and look for the "anchor macro" in the selection.
  3. Now enter the name of the anchor and create it by clicking "Save".

How to create a link to the created anchor in Confluence

Theoretically, any web page can be linked to the anchor, but for this a special URL formatting must be used. To link an anchor to content on the same Confluence page, follow these steps:
  1. Position the cursor where you want to insert the link.
  2. Select "Insert Link" from the menu or use the keyboard shortcut [Ctrl] + [k].
  3. Klicken Sie auf „Erweitert“ und geben den Namen des Ankers unter „Verknüpfung“ ein.
  4. Geben Sie nun den Link-Text ein und bestätigen Sie dies mit einem Klick auf „Speichern“.
