iPhone X: Bluetooth doesn't work

You can connect headphones or speakers wirelessly to your iPhone X via the Bluetooth interface. If there are problems with the connection or it even does not work at all, this can be due to various causes. However, the problems can often be fixed so that you can use your Bluetooth accessories again.

Bluetooth: Problems - how to remedy

When troubleshooting, you should start with the basics to really rule out any source of error.
  1. The first thing to check is whether the Bluetooth connection is turned on at all. You can see this via the Bluetooth icon in the status bar or via the settings of your iPhone. Also check whether the interface is also active on the device with which you want to connect the iPhone.
  2. A simple restart of the iPhone often works wonders. Press and hold the side button until the power off slider appears and turn off the smartphone. Then press the side button again until the Apple logo appears.
  3. If you only have connection problems with individual Bluetooth accessories, delete the corresponding device from the connections and pair it again. The corresponding options for this can be found in the Settings app.
If the iPhone has visible damage, it may also be a hardware defect. Then you have no choice but to give the device in the repair.

Reset network settings

From time to time, it can also help to reset the network settings of the iPhone X. To do this, call up the settings and switch to the "General" category. There, select the item "Reset" and tap on "Network settings". Finally, confirm the reset by tapping on "Reset".
