HEIC: Converter Wanted? These options are available

Apple's new preferred image format is HEIC, but it cannot be opened by all other devices. The demand for a converter is correspondingly high. We show you some options.

If you own an Android smartphone and are sent a photo by an iPhone user, you may not be able to do anything with it. Depending on the setting, the file comes in HEIC or HEIF format.

• If you do not want to install an extra program, there are also websites with converter function, for example heictojpg.com.

By the way, it is even more practical to ask your contacts to send the photos in JPG format. Indeed, this is possible without any problems and depends only on the setting on the iPhone.
