Setting up Virtual Box: Simple Guide

If you want to simulate a second operating system on your computer, then you can set up Virtual Box for free. The software makes it possible to use two versions of Windows or Windows and Linux in parallel.

First steps to set up Virtual Box

Before you can set up Virtual Box, you must first install the software on your computer. To do this, simply download the latest version of Virtual Box. Then, open the downloaded file and follow the wizard's instructions to install the software.

After you have installed Virtual Box, you should obtain the operating system that you want to simulate. For this, you can use an ISO file of Windows or Linux.

1. Open Virtual Box.
2. First click on "New".
3. In the next step, select the operating system you want to set up in Virtual Box.
4. After that, determine how much memory you want to allocate to the virtual machine.
5. Determine that you want to create a separate hard disk for it.
6. Keep the default file type VDI for the hard disk.
