Before you can connect the Chromecast to a WLAN network, you need to have already completed some setup steps beforehand.

1. It is especially important that you have installed the Google Home app on your smartphone, because over it the Chromecast is set up.
2. In addition, the device must already be recognized and registered in the app.
3. The basic setup must already be completed.

How easy the connection works

1. Open, if not done so far, the Google Home app on your smartphone.
2. Now tap on the top right of the TV icon.
3. Once you have seen a small preview of your Chromecast device, you can tap on the top right of the three dots next to the name of the device and select the "Settings".
