How to connect Chromecast to wifi? How to do it

The Google Chromecast is a smaller device that you can connect to your TV via HDMI. The Chromecast practically turns your TV into a Smart TV that allows you to browse the Internet. In order for this to be possible, you first need to connect the TV to the WLAN.

How to pair Chromecast with your WLAN

With Chromecast, you can not only browse the Internet, but also install apps. For example, you can access Netflix and other streaming platforms directly on the TV. But even for this, the Chromecast must first be connected to the WLAN.
  1. First, search for the Google Home app and install it on your smartphone. Make sure that your smartphone is connected to the same WLAN that you want the Chromecast to connect to.
  2. Connect the Chromecast to the TV and connect the device to power. Turn on the TV and switch with the source button to the HDMI input on which the Chromecast is.
  3. Now open the Google Home app on your smartphone and follow the setup wizard. If this is not displayed directly, tap on the top left on "Add" and then further on "Set up device" > "Add device".
  4. Follow the setup wizard and enter the WLAN password at the appropriate point.
