Disable AVG Antivirus - turn off individual features

AVG offers you a comprehensive overview of what is going on your computer through various protection mechanisms. By activating various components, you get protection against viruses, real-time protection while surfing and various other features. If you no longer want this protection, individual components can be deactivated.

Deactivate AVG functions

By activating all components, you first get full protection. However, it often happens that various components cause problems with other programs.

1. In the bottom left corner of the taskbar, next to your time display, you will find the AVG icon.
2. If it is not visible, you need to click the up arrow.
3. On top of the icon, you will now select "Temporarily disable AVG protection".
4. By clicking on this option, you have the option to decide how long the protection should not be active. In addition, you need to decide whether your firewall should also be disabled.
5. When you are satisfied with your settings, click "OK".

Disable advanced settings

1. With AVG, you can literally enable or disable every single option, depending on what comes closest to your preferences.
2. To do this, open the AVG program and click on each icon in the main window. Werden diese grün markiert, ist der Schutz derzeit aktiv.
3. Sollte ein Bereich grau unterlegt sein, sind diese Komponenten zurzeit deaktiviert.
