AVG SafeGuard: Remove Toolbar - here's how

When browsing the Internet and downloading software, it can often happen that you accidentally install adware. These are usually unwanted programs that sneak onto your computer unnoticed. AVG SafeGuard Toolbar is one of them. However, you can remove it in a few steps.

How to remove AVG SafeGuard Toolbar

If AVG SafeGuard Toolbar has been installed on your system during the installation of a freeware program, you will usually notice it quickly in your browser. Since it is an adware, there are several points to consider when uninstalling it.

1. First, you need to delete the software via Control Panel. Therefore, open it via the search function.
2. Click the "Uninstall programs" button in the "Programs" section. Now look for the Toolbar entry in the list and right-click it. Select "Uninstall" from the context menu.
3. Next you will need a suitable software, such as AdwCleaner. With it, you can also delete the last remnants of the adware from your computer. This is necessary so that the program cannot activate itself again unnoticed. Once you have downloaded the software, you can scan your system via "Search". After that, you will get a list of suspicious programs. Click "Uninstall" to delete them from your computer.
