Remove MegaSearch Toolbar: How to get rid of it

MegaSearch is adware that infects your browser and inserts an unwanted toolbar. This software is not a virus, but it is annoying nonetheless. You can remove the adware quite easily.

How to remove MegaSearch Toolbar

Adware is not harmful to your PC by itself. However, it can become inconvenient if it redirects you to websites that you do not want to visit or whose content might even be illegal. In addition, it represents a security vulnerability for your browser.

1. Open the list of your installed programs by entering the term "Programs and Features" in the bottom left of the Windows search bar and pressing Enter.
2. Now you should sort the list by date. You do that by pressing the word "Date" at the top.
3. Now look for "MegaSearch Toolbar" in the list and uninstall it. Next, uninstall all other programs that were installed on the same date and whose names you do not know by clicking on each of them individually and then go to "Uninstall".
4. It is best to use the free AdwCleaner to remove all the remains of the adware. The program will also remove all the files that MegaSearch left behind on your PC.

After that, it is advisable to reset the browser. You do this by uninstalling it completely and reinstalling it again. For the uninstallation, call "Programs and Features" as described above. Finally, download the latest version of the browser directly from the developer's website.
