To child-proof your Android device, you have several options. If you have already set up a Google account on the smartphone for your child, you only need to make the various apps more secure.

1. In the Google Play Store, you can hide certain content. To do this, open the app and go to the menu.
2. Open the settings and click on "User Control". Then go to "Parental Controls".
3. Now you can activate the option "Parental Controls" at the top.
4. Enter a pin with which you can deactivate the protection and confirm this via "Ok".
5. After that, make certain age restrictions in the various areas. Also, do not forget to remove the payment method.
6. It is also possible to set a restricted user profile. Then you have the option to determine which apps can be used.
7. To do this, go to "Settings" > "User" > "Device".
8. Click on "Add user or profile" > "Restricted profiles".
9. Now you can select which apps are usable for this profile.
