How to set up parental controls on your Android 9 device
To child-proof your Android device, you have several options. If you have already set up a Google account on the smartphone for your child, you only need to make the various apps more secure.- In the Google Play Store, you can hide certain content. To do this, open the app and go to the menu.
- Open the settings and click on "User Control". Then go to "Parental Controls".
- Now you can activate the option "Parental Controls" at the top.
- Enter a pin with which you can deactivate the protection and confirm this via "Ok".
- After that, make certain age restrictions in the various areas. Also, do not forget to remove the payment method.
- It is also possible to set a restricted user profile. Then you have the option to determine which apps can be used.
- To do this, go to "Settings" > "User" > "Device".
- Click on "Add user or profile" > "Restricted profiles".
- Now you can select which apps are usable for this profile.
