Google Parental Controls: How to enable parental controls

By setting up parental controls, you make it possible that your children are not unfiltered on the Internet. The SafeSearch feature is automatically available in Google's search settings and only needs to be activated if required. We'll tell you how to do that here.

Once SafeSearch is active, offensive images and inappropriate content from websites are automatically blocked.

1. Through SafeSearch, Google's search filter is adjusted so that the most relevant results for the search query are not presented directly, but a filter is applied beforehand.
2. To activate SafeSearch, you must first open your browser and follow this link to the search settings.
3. In the "SafeSearch filter" now set a check mark at "Filter offensive results".
4. Continue scrolling down the page now until you get to the "Save" button.
5. Once this was pressed, can be searched safely in Google.
