A Way Out: Coop - how to play the title with friends

"A Way Out" is one of the special titles in the past decade. Available exclusively in co-op mode, the game doesn't play like familiar couch titles and, unlike most games, can't be played alone under any circumstances. However, since a friend is not always on hand, there is a little trick.

Since the game has two protagonists in terms of content, the developer studio aimed to make the title exclusively playable in co-op mode. To avoid any problems, this is how it works:

1. The game can be played either locally on a PC or a console in pairs by connecting two controllers to the platform. Once the game starts, you are automatically in split-screen mode.
2. But if there is no second player on site, the title can also be played online with each other.
3. But so that two copies are not always needed, a second player can play along for free via a generated download link.
4. It is only important that both players are on the same platform. Cross-Play ist nicht möglich.
5. Durch die kurze Spieldauer von nur sechs bis acht Stunden steckt hinter dem Download-Link ein smartes System.
6. Sie sind nicht zwingend an einen einzigen Mitspieler gebunden, sondern können den Link an beliebig viele Freunde verschicken.
7. So kann an einem beliebigen Punkt in der Geschichte ein anderer Mitspieler übernehmen, ohne dass Sie von vorne beginnen müssen.
