Connecting speakers to your PC via Bluetooth

If you would like to avoid tangled cables or complex wiring, you can use wireless Bluetooth speakers for audio playback instead of normal boxes. These only need a connection to power and can otherwise be controlled wirelessly and conveniently from your computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet.

How to pair your speakers with your computer via Bluetooth

In order to connect your speakers to your computer via Bluetooth, it is important that the two devices have a Bluetooth interface in the first place and are compatible with each other.
  1. Make sure that the speakers are no more than one meter away from the computer.
  2. Activate the Bluetooth connection on the computer. To do this on Windows 10, click the notification icon in the bottom right of the taskbar and then click the Bluetooth tile.
  3. Turn on the Bluetooth speakers and press the pairing button.
  4. Right-click the Bluetooth icon in the taskbar and select the "Add Bluetooth Device" option.
  5. Select the speakers with which you want to connect the computer.

Bluetooth retrofit

If your computer does not have a built-in Bluetooth module, you can use a Bluetooth stick to retrofit the wireless connection. The stick is connected to the computer via USB and can then be managed via the system settings. Cheap Bluetooth kits are already available for under 10 euros.
