In order to log in to the user interface of your Fritzbox, set up the device after installation or make changes to the configuration, you need the password of your router. While most other router models use a default password like 0000, the Fritzbox password is different for each router.

1. To find out your router's password, look for a sticker on the back or bottom of the Fritzbox.
2. Note the number located there next to the "WLAN network key" entry.
3. Then call up the page "fritz.box" in the browser, log in using the password in the user interface and follow the further instructions to set up the Fritzbox.

For security reasons, it is recommended to change the password to access your Fritzbox after the first login in the user interface. To make the change, please navigate to "Logged in" > "Change password" in the user interface menu and type in a new password. Then click "OK" to confirm the password change. Please note that you can only change the password if you are already logged in to the user interface. If you can't log in there because you forgot your password, your only option is to reset the password.
