How to close your tabs with a key combination

You can control your computer almost entirely with your mouse. However, for some work and functions, this can be slow. If you want to speed up your workflow, it's worth using keyboard shortcuts. There is a combination for almost every function of your operating system. However, these may differ in some respects depending on the operating system you use. You can also control the closing of tabs in your browser via your keyboard.
  1. Independently of which browser you use, whether Firefox, Edge, Chrome or similar, you can use the same key combinations for control.
  2. The combinations differ, however, depending on the keyboard you use, because on the Mac, for example, there is no "Windows key". Mostly, the "Option" or the "Cmd" key is used here instead.
  3. If you want to close a tab under Windows, it must first be active. For this reason, tap the corresponding tab. Then press the key combination "Ctrl" + "W". Wahlweise können Sie auch die Kombination „Strg“ + „F4“ drücken.
  4. Verwenden Sie einen Mac, drücken Sie entsprechend eine der Kombinationen „CMD“ + „W“ oder „CMD“ + „F4“.
  5. Um alle offenen Tabs zu schließen, drücken Sie „Strg“ + „Alt“ + „W“ beziehungsweise „CMD“ + „Alt“ + „W“.
