Restore a closed tab - here's how

When you are browsing the Internet, it is quite possible that you have several tabs open. If you unintentionally close an important tab in which you have opened a page that you can't easily find again, you can recover it through various ways.

How to restore closed tabs

If you accidentally closed a tab, you can restore it. To do this, use the mouse or a key combination.
  1. To restore the last closed tab in the browser, use the key combination "Ctrl" + "Shift" + "T". Press the combination several times in a row to open more tabs.
  2. In Google Chrome, you can also restore the tab by right-clicking on the tab you just opened. Then select "Reopen closed tab" from the drop-down menu.
  3. Another option is to open the page through your history. In Google Chrome, you can find this via the settings menu. You open this by clicking on the three dots at the top right. Now select "History". Here you can also see your recently closed tabs.
  4. If you use Microsoft Edge as a browser, you can also restore the recently closed tab here with the option "Reopen closed tab".
