Mount & Blade 2: Beta announced - closed for now only

Mount & Blade was a real surprise hit back then. The second part is consequently eagerly awaited, but development continues to drag on. After all, a beta phase is now imminent.

The closed beta of Mount & Blade 2 could be an important step towards release.

The full name of the game is Mount & Blade 2 Bannerlord. Adapted from the popular predecessor, which was released in 2010, you should be able to once again rise to the powerful commander and build their own army in the second part.

Mount & Blade 2: Closed beta starts "soon"

Developer TaleWords has announced the following info on the beta:

• It will be a closed beta. Which players will be among the chosen and on what criteria it depends, is not yet known.
• Also a start date has not yet been named. The announcement of the closed beta was made towards the end of March 2019 with the indication that it should start "soon".
• In terms of content, the focus of the beta will be on the multiplayer mode, in the 6-versus-6 skirmish.
• The story part is thus left out. The closed beta will nevertheless give first insights into the combat mechanics and the technical implementation of the game.

As usual with beta versions, the game will not yet be fine-tuned at this stage by any means. Balancing should be improved based on the beta findings, just like the bug fixing that precedes any final release.
