Google Chrome: Plugins - how to add the extension

The Google Chrome browser offers you the possibility to extend the functionality with appropriate plugins. You can deactivate or activate these at any time after installation via the browser's menu. In addition, other functions are available to you to manage the plugins as you wish.

How to manage your Google Chrome plugins

You can manage your already installed plugins from the menu in Google Chrome. To do this, click on the icon with the three dots in the top right corner and then click on "More tools" > "Extensions". Here you will see a list of all installed extensions. From there, you can deactivate or activate them, for example. If you want to add more plugins to your browser, then this is possible via the Chrome Web Store.

1. Open the Web Store via your Chrome browser.
2. Using the categories, you can browse for various extensions. If you are looking for something specific, enter the name of the plugin in the search bar and confirm it with the Enter key.
3. Once you have found a suitable extension, click on it. Anschließend wählen Sie die Schaltfläche „Zu Chrome hinzufügen“ aus.
4. In einigen Fällen ist es nötig, Berechtigungen zu erlauben, damit Sie die Erweiterung nutzen können.
5. Sind Sie mit den Nutzungsbestimmungen einverstanden, bestätigen Sie das, indem Sie auf „Erweiterung hinzufügen“ klicken.
6. Rechts neben der Adressliste finden Sie in den meisten Fällen ein Symbol der Erweiterung. Darüber können Sie direkt auf das Plugin zugreifen.
