Google Pay: These payment methods are possible
Since the launch of Google Pay, the payment service has seen growing user numbers. In the meantime, you can use it to pay with your smartphone in numerous stores or on public transportation. This payment method is also accepted in apps, on websites and, of course, for Google products.
Google Pay: Many payment methods available
Google Pay has officially been around since 2015. Since then, it has been possible to set up the payment method on your smartphone and then use it to pay in selected stores, online stores and other platforms. Due to the growing number of users, more and more stores are also accepting Google Pay. However, in order to use your smartphone as a payment device, it is necessary to set up a payment method within the app. While in the beginning you only had the credit card and PayPal to choose from, the options have expanded in the meantime.- Credit or debit card (American Express, MasterCard, Visa)
- PayPal
- Bank account (Here it depends on the bank, whether it supports Google Pay)
- Direct billing via the mobile operator (Not all mobile operators support the option)
- Gift cards and coupon codes only under certain conditions, for example, Google Play
- Not accepted, however, bank transfers, electronic transfers, Western Union, MoneyGram, virtual credit cards and prepaid cards with automatic payment
