Google Stadia: These payment methods are accepted

Google Stadia is theoretically free, but you need games to actually use the service. A payment method is a prerequisite here, and we list the options.

You can only buy Stadia games digitally. You also have to specify a payment method to take out the Pro subscription.

The payment methods at Google Stadia differ in part depending on the region. We take a look specifically at Germany. Permitted in this country are:

• Credit card
• Google Pay
• paysafecard

These options read quite manageable, especially since the very popular PayPal is missing. However, this can be used as a payment method by setting up PayPal via Google Pay. The popular payment service provider is thus also compatible with Stadia, even if only in a roundabout way.Also important: When shopping in the browser, only the credit card is displayed as an option - this looks different in the Stadia app, where you can also select the other payment methods.
