Remove Netflix parental controls - is it possible?

All Netflix accounts have the option of a PIN to unlock certain content. But Netflix's parental controls can be removed. To do so, you just need to know your password and access the right menu.

How can you remove parental controls on Netflix?

For security reasons, it was long required by law that a PIN had to be set as a parental control on Netflix. However, this has since changed. If only adults use the Netflix access, you can easily remove the Netflix parental controls.

1. Visit Netflix and log in with your account, if necessary.
2. Select a user profile to land on the home page of Netflix.
3. Now click on the top right of your profile and select "Account" here.
4. Click on "Parental Controls" in the next step. You will now be prompted to enter your password.
5. After that, you can change the PIN for parental controls in the upper area, if you want to set a PIN for certain content after all.
6. To remove the Netflix parental controls, look at the "Restrictions by age level" area. Click here on the far right of the point at "Adults".
7. Thereby, there are no longer titles for which the PIN for parental control is requested.

Unfortunately, the parental control can not only be disabled or enabled for certain profiles. So the setting is fixed for the complete account when you remove parental controls.
