Sending GIFs with your smartphone - here's how to do it

Sending GIFs with the iPhone - this is how it works

To be able to send GIFs on your smartphone, you first need the GIPHY app, which you can find for free in the App Store.

1. Once you have downloaded and installed the app, you can already open it.
2. Within the app, you will find a search function that should help you quickly find the GIF you want.
3. Once you are satisfied with your selection, select the GIF.
4. Below the GIF you will now find some icons to networks through which you can send the file directly.
5. Continue to select the people from the network to which the GIF file should be sent and confirm.

Send GIF directly in WhatsApp

1. WhatsApp itself has quite an extensive selection of GIFs, which you can access by tapping the [+] icon in the lower right corner.
