Sending GIFs - with these programs it is possible

The word GIF is a synonym for small short animations sent over the Internet. In most cases, however, there is another format in the background that is adapted to today's standards. GIFs can be sent via most message programs and by e-mail.

How to send a GIF

Most messenger services offer a simple function to send GIFs. Usually it is enough to drag & drop the appropriate file into the messanger. Many services also offer their own GIF search.

1. In WhatsApp on iOS, simply tap on the camera icon at the bottom left and then further on "GIF". Now you can search in a large selection of GIFs and choose a suitable one. To send, tap on the appropriate GIF and then on the send arrow.
2. On Android, the GIFs are stored with the emojis.
3. With Telegram, you can send a GIF in two ways. Either you type in the chat bar "@gif" and then on the space bar or you tap on the sticker icon and there on "GIF".
4. You can also send GIFs via email. To do this, open your email utility and create a new email. Specify the recipient and write the text to the point where you want to insert the GIF.
