How to turn off Norton Internet Security

Sometimes the Norton Internet Security antivirus program may also block the execution of harmless activities and programs. If this occurs repeatedly and cannot be resolved even by restarting the PC, you have the option to temporarily disable Norton Internet Security.

1. To disable your Norton product on the PC or laptop, please right-click on the Norton icon in the taskbar first.
2. Then select "Disable Auto-Protect" from the context menu that opens.

Norton Internet Security: Turn off the Norton Firewall

Instead of completely turning off your Norton antivirus program, you can also disable only its firewall. To do this, first start your Norton product and navigate to "Firewall" > "General Settings" under "Settings". There, look for the line "Intelligent Firewall" and set the switch to "Off" by moving it to the left.
