Install Apple TV - how to set it up

With an Apple TV, it is possible to stream content from the Internet or from another Apple device to your TV. However, before you start using the device, you need to connect it with the appropriate cables. Moreover, setting it up is necessary after the initial startup.

How to install your Apple TV

Before you can use the Apple TV, you first need to set it up and install all the necessary features. In doing so, you just need to follow a few steps. You will also need Internet access, a TV and a suitable HDMI cable.

1. Before you start setting up, connect the Apple TV to your TV using an HDMI cable. For this, your TV needs a suitable HDMI port.
2. In addition, the Apple TV must be connected to a power source. Use the supplied cable for this.
3. If you want to connect the Apple TV to an iOS device, it should be up to date. If necessary, download the latest iOS version.
4. You can also enable Bluetooth and connect to your WLAN to speed up the setup of the Apple TV. Alternatively, you can connect your Apple TV to your Internet connection via an Ethernet cable.
5. Then start the device and follow the instructions on the TV. Once you are asked how you want to configure, select "Configure with device."
6. Follow the instructions to complete the setup.
