EA Play: This is the new gaming flat rate for PC and consoles
With EA Access for consoles and Origin Access for PCs, EA offered two different gaming flat rates. These have now been merged and the result is called EA Play. We clarify the details of the new service.
The change took place in August 2020 and affected all services and platforms. For users, it will be clearer and easier.EA Play: The previous services merged
EA Play can be explained quickly:- EA Access and Origin Access no longer exist under these names, as they now both fall under EA Play. This does not change the content and features of the services.
- In addition, the PC flat rate is now compatible with the leading gaming platform Steam.
- Origin Access Premier (as explained here) became EA Play Pro. However, the premium service is not compatible with Steam; the Origin client is still required.
