WhatsApp status: insert pictures - how it works

The WhatsApp Messenger is available for every popular operating system for your smartphone. Using your mobile number, you can register and then write to your contacts in a private or a group chat. You can also indicate your current traffic jam by inserting not only a text, but also an image.

This is how you add a picture to your WhatsApp status

In WhatsApp, you can not only tell your friends if you are online. You show what you are doing through your status. Everyone in your contacts can see the status afterwards. If you do not want to have a text as a status, you can alternatively insert a picture.

1. For this, open the app on your smartphone.
2. Then go to your profile and click on "Status".
3. Now you have the choice between the pen icon and the camera icon.
4. Click on the camera to select a photo on your smartphone.
