WhatsApp status: insert and share links

WhatsApp already brought new features into play with My Status so that you can use the app for more than just chatting. Among the features is the ability to insert a link in the WhatsApp status.

WhatsApp status: How to insert a link

The status feature of WhatsApp allows you to insert text in your picture. So, since you can paste text, it is also possible to copy a link.

1. The first step is to find the right link. So open your browser, visit the website and highlight the link. Either tap on it for a longer time and select "Highlight" or look for an icon with two rectangles in front of each other.
2. Now it's time to change your WhatsApp status. So open the app, possibly switch back to the general chat overview and tap on "Status" at the top.
3. Now tap on "My Status". This opens the camera app.
4. Take a photo that you want to use as a status.
5. Now instead of sending it already, tap on the T icon at the top. Dadurch öffnet sich eine Textfläche.
6. Halten sie in dieser Zeile kurz gedrückt und tippen Sie dann auf „Einfügen“.
7. Sie können die Schaltfläche auf Wunsch noch verschieben und das Status-Bild bearbeiten. Sobald Sie zufrieden sind, tippen Sie auf das Pfeil-Symbol zum Absenden.

Tippen Ihre Kontakte nun auf Ihren Status, müssen Sie den Link nicht abtippen. Sobald man ihn antippt, wird man weitergeleitet.
