Android 9: Recover deleted pictures
You can take high-resolution pictures with a smartphone running Android 9. With newer and newer cameras, the quality of photos is improving more and more. However, if you have accidentally deleted your pictures, this is annoying, but can be reversed under certain circumstances. The main thing here is to act quickly.
How to recover your deleted pictures on Android 9
If you accidentally deleted your pictures from your smartphone or tablet on Android 9, then you may be able to recover them. Whether the process works depends mainly on how quickly you react. If you delete files from your device, they are not removed directly. The memory is merely freed up and can thus be overwritten by new files. This gives you the chance to restore the files if necessary, as long as they have not yet been overwritten.- Download the app DiskDigger from the Google Play Store for this.
- Start the app, your device memory is checked for image files, whereby the deleted files are also found with it. Here, however, it may happen that you do not get the images back in full resolution.
- Alternatively, you can recover the images using root privileges. However, it is important to proceed carefully here. In addition, the step should only be performed if it is absolutely necessary.
- If you have saved the images on the SD card, connect it to the PC with a card reader and use suitable recovery software there. This way usually turns out easier than via the smartphone.
