How to deactivate the blue hooks in WhatsApp

With the blue hooks you are shown on WhatsApp that someone has already read your message. However, this is also possible in the opposite case. Do not want others to see that you have read the message, you can disable this feature.
  1. Use an iPhone, open WhatsApp and click "Settings".
  2. Then click on the option "Account".
  3. Here, select the item "Privacy" and then "Read confirmation". The blue check marks have now been deactivated.
  4. On an Android device, you must proceed similarly. Here, too, open WhatsApp and click on the settings.
  5. Then go to "Account" > "Privacy". Now you also have to disable the option "Read Receipts" or "Read Receipts".
  6. Note that this option is disabled only for private chats. For group chats, the read receipt of you and the other participants will still be displayed.
  7. Use a Windows Phone, it is not yet possible to disable the blue ticks. Only your online status you can hide from others.
