Outlook: Change language - these steps are necessary
Outlook is an e-mail program from Microsoft. With it, you can also organize your appointments in a calendar. Usually you set the language of the program already during the installation. But you can also change the display language or the language for the correction help later.
How to change the language in Outlook
In Outlook, a distinction is made between the display language and the language for correction help. When installing the application, you can usually select the display language. The correction help is then automatically adjusted accordingly. But also afterwards Outlook gives you the possibility to change the language for the individual areas.- Start Outlook on your computer.
- Select the option "File" in the upper left corner. In the next step, click on "Options".
- On the left, you will find the "Language" category. Click on it, you will see all the already installed languages on the right side. Alternatively, you can use the "Install more display languages from Office.com" button to install more languages that are not currently displayed.
- Now select a language under "Office display language" and click "Set as preferred" and confirm with "Ok". Then you need to restart the program so that you can see the changes.
- Alternatively, you can also select the "Office creation languages and correction tools" under "Language". Here, too, you can click on the desired language and use it via "Set as preferred".
