How to install KeePassX on Ubuntu

  1. To install KeePassX on Ubuntu, first please open the terminal of the PC by pressing the key combination of "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "T".
  2. In the terminal, then enter the command "sudo apt-get install keepassx" and confirm it with the "Enter" key.
  3. You also need to enter your password and press the "J key" on the keyboard to perform the installation of KeePassX.

How to use KeePassX on Ubuntu PC

Once you have installed KeePassX on your Ubuntu PC, the program is stored under the path "Accessories" > "KeePassX" and can be configured under "Tools" > "Settings". To use KeePassX for password management after installation, it is first necessary that you set up a database in the program. To do this, go to "File" > "New", select the location and name, and set a master password that protects access to your passwords. To subsequently insert your passwords into the newly created database, click on the "Add entry" option under "Edit" and enter the required data before confirming with "OK".
