The Surface Pro 6 features the Windows 10 operating system. As with the desktop version, it is possible to get into the UEFI menu via a specific button. From there, you can make various settings. Which ones depend on your Surface model.
How to get into the Surface Pro 6 boot menu
Through the Surface UEFI, you have the ability to make various settings to your system. Usually, it is not necessary to make changes in the UEFI menu. Moreover, it is possible to make various boot configurations. But before this is possible, you first have to get into the UEFI menu.- Shut down your Surface Pro 6. After that, you need to wait for a few seconds.
- Now press the power button while holding down the volume up button.
- Continue to hold down the volume up button while the logo appears on the display. If the UEFI menu is displayed, you can release the button.
- In the UEFI menu, you will find the "Boot Configuration" option on the right side. Click on it to enter the boot menu.
- Alternatively, you can go directly to the UEFI settings via Windows.
- To do this, go to "Start" > "Settings" > "Update and Security" > "Recovery" > "Advanced boot" > "Reboot now".
- Anschließend wählen Sie „Problembehandlung“ > „Erweiterte Optionen“ > „UEFI-Firmware-Einstellungen“ > „Neu starten“.
- Nun können Sie ebenfalls auf die „Boot Configuration“ wechseln.
