Defragment Hard Drive in Windows
Especially if you use your PC or laptop for both personal and professional purposes, a lot of data accumulates that causes the system to become slow. This is not only annoying, but also unnecessary if you defragment your hard drive regularly.
This is how easy defragmentation is
Defragmenting a hard drive in Windows is not complicated and ensures that the comfort of your device is maintained.- Start your Explorer and select the category "This PC".
- Right-click on the desired hard drive and open the properties.
- You will now see several options, from which you select "Tool" and then "Optimize".
- You will now see all available partitions as well as the status of the fragmentation.
- Select the desired partition and then click "Optimize".
- Windows now performs the process of defragmentation independently, where the duration of the process depends on the size of the partition.
- Since the process may well take several hours, it makes sense to perform the defragmentation overnight.
- If your device is equipped with an HDD hard drive, you can rearrange the boot files and thereby speed up the process.
