When it comes to system requirements, Iron Gate AB does not go into too much detail. The minimum requirements are:

• CPU: 2.6 GHz (dual core)
• Graphics card: GeForce GTX 500 series / comparable Radeon
• Memory: 4 GB RAM

The recommended requirements are:

• CPU: Intel Core i5 (3 GHz)
• Graphics card: GeForce GTX 970 / comparable Radeon
• Working memory: 8 GB RAM

Since the game world is procedurally generated, Valheim also gets by with around 1 GB of memory. All in all, the Early Access hit is thus smoothly playable for the vast majority of players, and this is likely to have contributed to its rapid success.
