Creating a Roblox game: From simple to complex

To develop a game, you need Roblox Studio. This is free and can be downloaded here. Install the program after the download and start it normally.

• In the beginning you have the choice between a completely empty terrain and various templates that can help you get started.
• This has no influence on your developer options. All functions are clearly understandable, on the left side you have via toolbox access to items and NPCs that you can integrate into the world, in the menu at the top you have various options and tools available and on the right you have an overview of all elements as well as their properties.
• Important: Once you have created the first playable elements, you can test them. Click on "Test" at the top to start a game with a game character.

In view of the many possibilities, some trial and error is necessary at the beginning to get to know the actual scope. At the same time, it becomes clear that some training is required to create a functioning game, because there are many adjusting screws in the details. As you gain experience, you can implement more complex ideas, such as multiple levels or game progress that depends on certain achievements.
