MacBook Air or Pro - these are the differences

Apple has already launched many products on the market. However, now you can only choose between two variants when you want to buy a notebook. These are the MacBook Air and its more powerful Pro version. Visually, the two laptop variants hardly differ.

MacBook Air or Pro: Where are the advantages?

As the name suggests, the Apple MacBook Pro offers more power than the MacBook Air. However, the differences are not only in performance, but also in capacity and precision. With the Pro variant, you can find advantages in the display, hard drive capacity, graphics performance as well as the processor.

The differences at a glance

1. Display: The display of the two MacBooks is only different in certain models. You have a 13.3-inch and a 16-inch display available on the MacBook Pro. With the MacBook Air, you can only choose the smaller of the two.
2. Hard drive: Both MacBooks use SSD hard drive technology. Here you have up to 2 TB at your disposal in both devices.
3. Processor: Both models are equipped with an eight-core processor. Depending on the model, you can choose between different hardware and use the Apple M1 chip, for example. Das MacBook Pro hat jedoch eine höhere Taktung und dementsprechend mehr Leistung.
4. Insgesamt ist der Unterschied nicht mehr so groß zwischen den beiden Geräten. Beispielsweise die Helligkeit und die Akkulaufzeiten unterscheiden sich noch. Zudem ist das MacBook Air leichter und etwas niedriger als die Pro-Version.
