How to turn off the Tolino? Here's how

Normally, turning off your Tolino is very simple. You just need to press a certain button. But if this is not possible, there are several reasons for this. In this case, try a soft or hard reset.

This is how you turn off your Tolino even if you have problems

You turn off your Tolino by holding down the power button for six seconds. If that doesn't work, then there are other solutions. First try a soft rest:

1. The reset button is located in a small hole next to the micro USB port. On the Tolino Shine, you will find the reset button under the flap by the power connector.
2. Press and hold the button with a pointed object until your eReader turns off.
3. Thereupon, an automatic reboot occurs, which restores the system.

How to perform a hard reset on the Tolino

If the soft reset has had no effect, perform a hard reset. Note, however, that all content on your eReader will be deleted during a hard reset.

1. Open the Tolino's reboot screen by pressing and holding the Volume Up and Power buttons for ten seconds.
2. Hold the Power button for a moment to enter Recovery mode.
3. Select "Wipe Data/Factory Reset" from the menu that appears using the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons and confirm with the Power button.
4. You must confirm that you want to wipe all data. This is done by pressing the power button one more time.
5. Finally select the option "reboot system now" to start a reboot.
