Depending on which phone model you use, some devices may require you to additionally type in a code or scan a displayed QR code to make the payment.

How to turn off the NFC function when not in use

If you do not use the NFC function on your smartphone, it is recommended that you deactivate it for security reasons. However, this is so far only possible on Android devices, as you do not have access to the function on the iPhone.
  1. To turn off the NFC function, first open the Settings app on your smartphone and click on the "gear icon" there.
  2. Then please navigate to "Wireless and networks" > "Advanced" and click on "More".
  3. There is a slider next to the entry to NFC, which you please move to disable the function. Here you also have the option later at any time to turn on the NFC function again to use it again.
