Surface Pro 6: Repair - here's how to do it
If your Surface 6 Pro is broken or no longer works, you have the option of sending the tablet in for repair. In some cases, a manual repair is also worthwhile. However, you should only go this route if the tablet no longer has a warranty, since this is lost when it is opened.
How to repair the Surface Pro 6?
The self-repair of the Surface Pro 6 is very difficult. The display always has to be removed, and this component in particular is very easily breakable.- The display, which is heavily glued and easily breakable, has to be removed for every repair, making self-repair extremely difficult. The battery also always has to be removed for a complete disassembly.
- So, if you have a problem, you should contact Microsoft's support. With this, however, the device is replaced 1:1 and not repaired.
- To do this, go to the device service and repair page and log in with your Microsoft account.
- Now you are guided through the necessary steps and can then send in your Surface Pro 6. You will then be sent a new device pretty quickly, as the old one will just be thrown away.
