Surface Pro 6: Repair - here's how to do it

If your Surface 6 Pro is broken or no longer works, you have the option of sending the tablet in for repair. In some cases, a manual repair is also worthwhile. However, you should only go this route if the tablet no longer has a warranty, since this is lost when it is opened.

How to repair the Surface Pro 6?

The self-repair of the Surface Pro 6 is very difficult. The display always has to be removed, and this component in particular is very easily breakable.

1. The display, which is heavily glued and easily breakable, has to be removed for every repair, making self-repair extremely difficult. The battery also always has to be removed for a complete disassembly.
2. So, if you have a problem, you should contact Microsoft's support. With this, however, the device is replaced 1:1 and not repaired.
3. To do this, go to the device service and repair page and log in with your Microsoft account.
4. Now you are guided through the necessary steps and can then send in your Surface Pro 6. You will then be sent a new device pretty quickly, as the old one will just be thrown away.
