Disable iOS update - these steps are necessary

In order to use your iOS device as usual, it is necessary to install the regular updates for the operating system. By default, these are downloaded automatically. If you do not want this, you can disable the function via the settings.

How to disable iOS updates

With iOS updates, functionalities are added, bugs are fixed and security vulnerabilities are closed. For this reason, it's important to regularly check for a new update. By default, your iOS devices are set to download and install them automatically. However, if you do not want this, you can disable the option at any time. In this case, however, it will be necessary to install the updates manually.

1. Open the Settings app on your iOS device.
2. Now tap on your name and select "iTunes & App Store". Here you will find all the options for automatic download, which you can disable with the appropriate switches. To disable updates, use the "Updates" entry.
3. To disable notifications for new iOS updates, go to "Settings" again and then "General".
4. Tap on the option "Storage & Cloud usage".
5. Select "Manage storage" in the next step. Here you can select the appropriate updates at the top and delete them.
