Apple: These are the features of the iPod

The iPod is a media player whose main function is to play music. Depending on which iPod model you have, however, the device has a number of additional functions.

1. While there was initially only the iPod, there are now four other variants of the music player with the iPod Mini, iPod Shuffle, iPod Nano and iPod Touch.
2. While the iPod, iPod Mini and iPod Shuffle only have a navigation wheel to control music playback, the iPod Touch was equipped with a large touch display.
3. In addition, the iPod Touch, just like the iPhone or iPad, uses iOS as an operating system and has apps such as Safari or YouTube preinstalled.
4. If you have a newer iPod, this also contains a built-in camera with which you can take photos or make calls to your friends via FaceTime.

If you want to buy an iPod, the price for it depends on which model you choose. In the online store of Apple itself, however, only the iPod Touch is available for purchase. It is available in six colors and costs between 229 and 449 euros, depending on the storage capacity. At some other retailers is also still the purchase of the iPod Shuffle from 149 euros and the iPod Nano from 199 euros possible.
