Google Pay: All info on the payment service
A few years ago, Android Pay became Google Pay. This is more than a renaming, as Google Pay has also decisively increased Google's market share in the growing online payment services market.
Google Pay: These features are available
In terms of pure online payment services, PayPal has been far ahead for years. However, Google has now also earned a place. As Android Pay, the payment method appeared back in 2015 and was renamed in 2018. Given the large number of Google services, a payment service is not surprising.- Google Pay is composed of Android Pay and Google Wallet and can be used from Android 5.
- To use Google Pay, you link a payment method such as credit card or bank account with the service.
- In practice, you can pay with this payment method with the smartphone without having to pull out the bank card. The technical requirements for this are Android 5.0 or newer and an NFC phone.
- For online payments, however, use Google Wallet. There, too, you must first link a bank account.
- Many companies have now entered into a partnership with Google. These include, for example, Subway, McDonalds or Pepsi.
