The Sims 4: All DLCs of the game at a glance

Costly expansions are the most important factor in The Sims business model. In the current fourth part, this is more evident than ever. We give an overview of the DLCs released so far.

If you like The Sims 4, you can spend almost as much money as you want on DLCs.

Game sales are one thing, but DLCs allow you to generate ongoing revenue. The Sims 4 has perfected this system, as the list of DLCs shows.

The Sims 4: DLCs and their categories

There are several types of DLCs. The most important and largest are the content expansion packs, each of which costs around 40 euros upon release:

• To Work (2015)
• Time for Friends (2015)
• Big City Life (2016)
• Dogs & Cats (2017)
• Seasons (2018)
• Become Famous (2018)
• Insingle Life (2019)

It is considered likely that these seven expansion will have offspring in the future. In addition, not to be forgotten are the other two types of DLCs:

• Accessory packs include new objects such as clothing and furniture, usually associated with a particular theme. There are 14 accessories packs so far.
• Gameplay packs (for 19.99 euros each) are a mixture of accessories packs and expansion packs. So far, seven have been released, the most recent release is StrangerVille from February 2019.

This makes it clear: If you want to get to know all the content and features of the game, you will have to spend many hundreds of euros. Since all DLCs are separate and independent of each other, a narrowing down to particularly interesting content is possible and recommended.
