Cyberpunk 2077 has to struggle with performance problems on all platforms. PC players can at least turn a few adjusting screws and thus ensure noticeable improvement:

• The volumetric fog devours a lot of performance.
• The screen reflections also require complex calculations.
• The same goes for all effects around shadow rendering, such as resolution and range, as well as the quality of the shadow mesh.
• Environmental occlusion also demands a lot of computing power.

By reducing or disabling these items, either some or all of them, significant performance jumps are possible. What is clear here is that all these deactivations reduce the graphical impression a bit. However, these losses are quite manageable, at least compared to the performance improvement that is possible as a result.
