FaceTime: Using without SIM - is it possible?

FaceTime is an app from the American company Apple that allows you to make video conferences and video calls on devices running the iOS operating system. All you need is an Internet-enabled Apple device, which preferably also has a microphone and a camera.

How to use FaceTime without SIM

Normally, you need an activated SIM card to make calls with your smartphone and tablet. However, Apple also offers you the possibility to call your contacts without being in possession of a SIM card. However, you need two Apple devices that are on the same Wi-Fi network. To make a call, you then only need to log in on both devices with your Apple ID. It is similar with FaceTime.

• In order to use "FaceTime" without a SIM, you first have to register. For this, a SIM card is still needed, but after the completed registration no longer.
• As with normal phone calls, it is now enough if you log in to FaceTime with a current Apple ID and your email address.
