In Sims 4 there are a variety of different fish that you can catch yourself at fishing spots like rivers, lakes and ponds. Find out how to go about fishing for fish properly and what uses there are for them here.

In Sims 4 there are a total of 22 different types of fish that your Sims can catch in lakes, streams and other bodies of water. Besides common fish like trout, goldfish, perch, guppy and salmon, there are also rare species like batfish, rainbowfish, treefish or piranha.

Sims 4: Important tips for fishing fish

Which of the available fish you can catch depends on your fishing level. While fishing for perch, koi and trout is possible from level two, using lures to catch fish is only allowed from level three. To catch rainbow fish or mysterious fish need at least level six.

1. To start fishing in Sims 4, only a body of water is needed. Have you already unlocked the function "Fishing with bait", select it after clicking on the body of water and decide on a bait.
