SwitchUp: What are the costs for customers? All info
SwitchUp not only entices consumers with a continuous rate comparison for gas and electricity, but also reacts dynamically to changes with potential for improvement. But what does this service cost?
No cost to customers: SwitchUp is financed by electricity and gas providers.
We have explained the basic principle of SwitchUp in this guide. The financing of the platform is directly related to this.SwitchUp: Are there any costs at all?
The operation of SwitchUp logically costs money. However, the platform does not earn this by getting paid by consumers - at least not directly:- SwitchUp receives a commission from the provider if a consumer could be referred or convinced to switch.
- Since the customer's new tariff does not become more expensive as a result, the service is free from the consumer's point of view.
- Also for the providers this model makes sense, since they lose only a small part of their profit margin to SwitchUp.
