Since the new e-scooters also received road approval in Germany, more and more cities are offering the option of renting a scooter for use. However, renting an e-scooter involves costs that vary depending on the provider used.

1. One of the best-known sharing providers of e-scooters is Lime. This requires, in addition to a basic fee of 1 euro, which is due when the scooter is unlocked, a price per minute.
2. So at Lime per minute between 0.20 euros and 0.25 euros are calculated, depending on which city you are located.
3. If you use the scooter in Hamburg or Munich, a price of 0.25 euros per minute is incurred. In Frankfurt, Cologne, Berlin or Dresden, however, Lime charges only 0.20 euros per minute.

Once you have installed this on your smartphone, you need to create a new user account and also specify a payment method during registration.
