LG SmartShare - how to use the feature

SmartShare is available on many newer LG smartphones and is used to share files, such as photos, videos or music tracks, wirelessly between two devices. You can find out which devices the SmartShare feature is available on and how to use it to transfer files in our article.

LG SmartShare: These requirements must be met

If you have a smartphone from the LG brand, you can connect it wirelessly with other devices via the SmartShare function and exchange files. However, SmartShare is not available on all LG devices. If you want to use the feature, you need at least an LG G2, an LG G3 Beat, an LG G Flex or a new smartphone model. In addition, an active WLAN and Bluetooth connection is required to use SmartShare.

How to enable and use SmartShare on your LG smartphone

If SmartShare is available on your LG smartphone, you can send files, such as photos or videos, to another screen or transfer them to the TV.

1. To do this, first open the Gallery or Music app on your LG device and search for the multimedia file you want to share.
2. Tippen Sie anschließend rechts oben auf das Symbol mit den drei Punkten, um das Optionenmenü zu öffnen.
3. Wählen Sie im Menü den Eintrag „SmartShare“ aus und tippen Sie in der sich öffnenden Liste auf das Zielgerät, bevor Sie mit „Senden“ bestätigen.
4. Wird Ihnen das Zielgerät in der Liste der verfügbaren Geräte nicht angezeigt, prüfen Sie, ob Bluetooth und Wi-Fi auf dem Gerät aktiviert sind und tippen Sie danach auf „Erneut scannen“.
